DURABROADS presented in Asphaltica 2014
On 8th May, the ERF participated in the fair Asphaltica, which was held in Verona from the 8th until the 11th of May.
The DURABROADS Project was presented by Ms Durso who took part in one of the conferences organized by the SITEB (Italian Association of Asphalt Bitumen Roads) entitled "Green Road Initiatives in Europe". The conference gathered more than 50 roads related experts.
Ms Durso explained that the project is at its early stage as it has been kicked off last October. She presented the main DURABROADS objective, which is to provide a sustainable growth through the development and demonstration of cost-effective, eco-friendly, durable and resilient pavements. Participants showed special interest in the adaptation of roads to new challenges and the use of innovative materials and techniques.
