Presentation at Eurasphalt & Eurobitume
The 6th Eurasphalt & Eurobitume Congress (E&E) was held in Prague from 1-3 June.
This event is organised every four years by the European bitumen and asphalt industry bringing together all the actors in the sector. The 2016 edition was organized under the theme “Investing in our greatest asset: roads”.
The congress is used as an important vehicle to raise the awareness across a wide scope of the industry about key drivers in the market environment, to share best practices and technology, and also to respond with solutions to future challenges.
DURABROADS was presented in a poster which described main aspects of the initiative. More concretely, the consortium aimed at showing the four main benefits expected in the implementation of this innovative product:
- Contribution to the climate change adaptation policy of the EU
- Increase the cost-efficiency of the road sector
- Contribution to the Green Economy by creating markets for environmentally friendly products
- Contribution to achieve the EU environmental objectives by:
− Reducing natural aggregates in the construction and/or rehabilitation of roads.
− Recycling waste and by-products.
− Reducing fuel consumption
